Verified claim (Rule G) overview

If the government published notice of forfeiture in your case, you may need to file a verified claim in federal court within the deadline (often 30 days). Typical requirements:

  • Caption matching the forfeiture case number
  • Description of your interest in the property
  • Statement of facts supporting your claim
  • Signature under penalty of perjury

Our claim generator (internal tool) produces attorney-draft templates from case profile data. Consult a lawyer before filing.

Deadlines are strict

ClearPath does not file on your behalf. Missing a claim window can permanently bar recovery in court.
