CryptoAlert’s journey started out of necessity when a family member was defrauded. Even with our extensive background in fraud investigations and our relationships with law enforcement and lawyers, it took months and many dead ends to find answers. Our first-hand experience showed that these situations can be devastating and crypto fraud victims need information and help.
Our mission is to create awareness and provide specific, actionable guidance that enables crypto fraud victims to navigate reporting and recovery efforts through engagement with crypto entities (e.g., exchanges), government, law enforcement, legal representation, and other relevant resources. We have summarized the lessons we have learned struggling through this complex process and the advice we received from lawyers and law enforcement on this website. In addition to governmental resources, we have included tools we created during our journey.
